I’m still giggling when I think about Lane’s unexpected secret. This plot twist surely provided for a very interesting scenario. The characters were fun and likable. Although they are young, they came across as mature with strong personalities. All the frustrations and pent up emotions added to the chemistry between the couple. A very light and flirty romance with just a dash of doubt and insecurities to make it interesting.

I really liked Vivi and Lane’s story.

I have been reading the Hero's of Henderson series since the 1st book "Good Cop" was released. I have enjoyed each one more than the last, including the .5's. The characters are so relatable and endearing...I can hardly wait for the next book to come out. I LOVE the Heroes of Henderson books. They make me laugh out loud and it is really easy to love Vance, Brooks and all the characters. Can't wait for Pink's story. BUT the Vivi story was too much. As a teacher, I was personally offended and bothered that the subject was chosen. A teacher would most likely get fired immediately in that situation and it would not be a fun time. The characters were immature and Vivi was too young acting and unprofessional. The story was disjointed and just totally unrealistic from all the character's perspectives.

I don’t think I have rooted for couple more in all my days than I did for Lane & Vivi! I love how they meet at the beach & how he saved her!. The blue bikini bow! And reading along as they fell in love! When they ran into a bit of circumstantial bad luck, I was so pulling for them, even though I’m not usually down for “taboo” relationships. They had a different story & I was throwing up excuses left & right in my head. And how much did I love Lam!!! He is loyal almost to a fault & I’ll be patiently awaiting his story. Can’t wait for more Henderson Happenings.
