A highly ambitious Senator who is having an extramarital affair with a younger woman with the misfortune to drown in the ocean is the main plot that sets the tone for this dramatic, suspenseful novel. Senator Don knows there is just too much at stake here, trying to come up with an alibi and an elaborate scheme since all eyes are on him publicly, including the victim's father. Things are getting dicey during the investigation; and readers will get to experience politics in all its gory, deceptive glory. You'll definetely recognize the vast depths of corruption that has no bounds in today's world behind White House closed doors, written in an intelligent and thought-provoking style.
