Daisy is in the museum, interviewing the curators and learning how the museum works so that she can finish an article for the magazine. Unfortunately (but naturally), her conversation with one worker is disturbed by a loud voice, an unsettling cry, and a load crash. Running to the noise, they discover one of the curators covered with fossil bones and with one sharp point stuck in his chest. With her growing knowledge of procedures, she helps the museum staff to keep the site safe from prying eyes and hands. When Alec from the Scotland Yard arrives, they enter their usual, slightly contrary dance and begin their search for the murdered.
This is a nicely paced book, with a bit more action than tHe last one, and I enjoyed it a lot!
