I wasn't sure what to think when the book was from a different point of view, but i am so glad the author did it this way instead of the first book having everyone's story to try to remember and follow.
This story is Hannah and David's journey and how it intersects with the original prophecy laid out in Keeper vs Reaper. Book 2 picks up right at the end of Book 1. Though, we see more of the setting in this book.
Hannah was easy to relate to and cheer on. She is put in a predicament that I wasn't sure how she would get out of it. Sorry no spoilers from me.
I don't know what it is about this series, I enjoy myself so much that I can read this book in half the time it takes to read a book half its size. I love the concept of soul sucking reapers and the keepers protecting the souls. The damsels kick butt and take names instead of waiting to be rescued.
The family dynamics are even relatable. For so many characters, everyone has a unique voice and I am never lost as to who's talking.
