This is really well narrated, as was the first book. I’m brushing up on my German so have found this a great way to do so. I’m familiar with the series and have the books in English so I can go back and check meaning and translation, read along with the story or just go about my daily activities while listening to a great story in another language.

I am learning German, so I thought, what better way than to read both German and English versions at the same time? Overall the German version is ok, but I did notice that there were several places where sentences or a whole paragraph missing. Plus, a native German speaker friend took a comparison of the English vs. German versions, and thought the German version didn't translate as good as it could have, in terms of keep the nuances of the English version. But perhaps there are some things that are just too difficult to translate, or that since J.K. Rowling doesn't read German, the translation house got away with it.

It's so fun to read these again in German. The Kindle is really the best way to read foreign language books, because you have the dictionary available to look up the occasional word you don't know.

After being introduced to Harry Potter in Der Stein des Weisens, he returns for further adventures in Die Kammer des Schreckens. Lots of fun and an easy read. Great for me mein deutsch zu verbessern. Also, viel spaß!

Wie schon im ersten Band, so ist auch dieser zweite einfach wunderbar spannend und kurzweilig geschrieben. Man muss immerzu weiterlesen und mit jeder Seite nimmt die Vorfreude auf Band drei immer mehr zu.

Über das Buch muss man - denke ich - kaum mehr was sagen. Es ist halt einfach gut.

Dieser kompletten Unfug mit dem pottermore-shop, der eine völlig separate Kontoeröffnung erfordert, wieder einmal unzählige Daten erhebt und dann noch die Frechheit besitzt, die Downloadanzahl des gekauften und teuer bezahlten Buchs zu begrenzen, ist schlicht eine Riesenfrechheit. Amazon, macht da mal was. Kündigt meinetwegen der Frau Rowling die Mitarbeit auf. Schlimm genug, dass ich das Buch kaufen muss und nicht ausleihen kann, weil ich als Lese-App Kunde offenbar Prime-Mitglied zweiter Klasse bin. So geht's jedenfalls nicht.
