This was a new author for me and, after reading this book, I will be keeping an eye out for more. It was a nice easy read. The good guys won. The main bad guy was on a par with James Bond villains and I felt a little sympathy for the female villain who, though quite happy to kill people, really only wanted a normal life . Like most heroes Jamie was clever, a little nuts and good looking. Like a lot of side kicks his 'Batman' friend was fat and geeky and unwashed - but this one knows how to shoot. However at least 'Batman' has a happy ending and despite being shot, and his questionable hygiene appears to find a girlfriend at the end of the book.
So off they all go, all over the place, chasing after a stolen statue head. Introspective moments from Jamie about his commitment issues. His girlfriend from long ago who he walked away from without a word, chucked into the mix, good guys who turn out to be bad guys. cars, boats, museums. It's got the lot.
