Husband and wife adventurers Sam and Remi Fargo return in "The Solomon Curse".
Alerted to the possible existence of a lost underwater city by their associate, Leonid, Sam and Remi set out for Guadalcanal, site of one of the longest and bloodiest battles of the Pacific war. But once there, strange happenings begin, such as a seawater crocodile attack. As time passes, Sam and Remi learn about local legends, including the cursed bay where the forgotten city lies, and the existence of giants living in caves on the island.
But more disturbing information is uncovered relating to the events during the war. It seems that the Japanese may have conducted medical experiments on the natives in the caves. Determined to not only locate the missing city but to solve the mystery of the Japanese atrocities, the Fargos and their associates set out on their greatest adventure yet. But they will find along the way that not everyone can be trusted.
I'm a big fan of Clive Cussler, and I especially enjoy his Fargo series. "The Solomon Curse" is loaded with twists and turns, and the characters are well-developed. Being a World War II history fan, I especially liked the setting of Guadalcanal for this story. Highly recommended.
