This was a very quickly paced biography that covered many areas of Galileo's life. It was very well written, clear, and concise. The illustration really helped me get a more detailed look into his life. Galileo has always fascinated me because he was an incredibly intellectual philosopher who changed the way we see the world. I enjoyed reading about him and would highly recommend this biography to anyone interested in getting an insightful look into Galileo's work.
Doug West did an excellent job at a biography of Galileo. It's full of important information and reads very well. Every line is information, no going on and on, all wordy and such. From his birth to his death, and all the important in between.
This book tells many of Galileo's accomplishments and his contributions to the scientific community. To make a book about a man who contributed so much would be difficult to keep in a short text but this book does well at both.
Galileo was ahead of his time and sometimes I think because we are all so familiar to the theory of a feather & a wrench fall at the same time in a vacuum that we fail to acknowledge who came up with it. Loving these biographies and looking forward towards more!
