All she wants is to find her mother's belongings & her life to go back to the way it was before she found out she had 4 very protective stepbrothers. The kind of stepbrothers that think a woman's place is in the home. All he wants is to find out what has happened to his missing shipments & the type of wife who stays home & takes care of the household. As they clash over her helping him to organize his files they stumble on a smuggling ring. Can they compromise enough to end the smuggling & give their hearts away?

LOVED this series! Jane Charles was able to give each character their own unique twist & make them all work together. Always love the Duke of Danby connections!

I have enjoyed this series so much - it is almost sad that this is the last book.

I really liked Jonathan and Genevieve. They are both strong, opinionated characters and it was fun watching them fall in love.

My only complaints are: one - there was no epilogue - having read this series since beginning, I feel like I know these characters and would have liked a glimpse of their HEAs - especially after the family secret is disclosed. And two : I would have liked a bit more steam - but that's just me :)

This book was excellent and I highly recommend the entire series! Maybe (fingers crossed ) this was not the end of the series. Maybe Rose will get her own love story (hint, hint)

3.0 out of 5 stars A Good Series

I loved this entire series, but this is the last story & I was disappointed. The story just wasn't as strong as all the others & there were bits & pieces that just didn't make sense. This book would have been better with an epilogue to tie up the loose ends. It is definitely worth a read, but not this author's best work

All Genvieve wants is to find her mother's belongings & her life to go back to the way it was before she found out she had four very protective stepbrothers. The kind of stepbrothers that think a woman's place is in the home. All Jonathan Bridges (brother of Lady Rothsbury whom we met in the Reluctant Rake) wants is to find out what has happened to his missing shipments & the type of wife who stays home & takes care of the household. As they clash over her helping him to organize his files they stumble on a smuggling ring. John & Elizabeth Trent are also on the trail of the smugglers too.

I really enjoyed this book Genvieve & Jonathan were very likeable & the story had intrigue so not the run of the mill romance story

I’ve LOVED this series! Jane Charles was able to give each character their own unique twist & make them all work together. Always love the Duke of Danby connections! Of course I now have to read all the associated books to find out what happened to the other characters mentioned

Just a couple of quibbles with American written stories are in the UK we don’t have blocks but streets & what is a stoop!
A few proof reading errors but less than in the other books. These don’t detract from the story, in fact kindle books all seem to have more errors than printed books.

Another great story in the series. Now all the brothers and sisters are married one can only hope Jane turns to the wider family so that we can continue to enjoy tales of the Trent family. Highly recommended.
