𝗧𝗶𝘁𝗹𝗲: Forever with You
𝗦𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀: Wait for You #5
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿: Jennifer L. Armentrout
𝗥𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴: ☆☆☆☆ 4.5/5

I absolutely loved Steph! Who would’ve thought that after we met her in the first book in this series, I didn’t… but I really loved her. Mainly because she has a mouth on her, I marked so many sentences in those first couple of chapters. If Steph wasn’t the way she was in this book I probably would’ve not rated this book that high (there weren’t that many surprises and the plot was a bit obvious). Her feisty character really made this book for me. Enough about Steph, let’s talk about Nick. Man I did not like him at first, but slowly and surely I fell for him. I am so glad that Steph stands up to him and the banter between them is amazing. I loved how Steph learned to make new friends, and she could not have found better friends in Roxy and Katie. They are just amazing. There were some things that could’ve gone a bit better. Where I did not understand some of the actions that were taken (and I can’t say anything else because hey I am not going to spoil this book for you). Steph and Nick go through a lot in this book and yea you just have to read it for yourself!!

It shows true talent to take a character who isn’t even on your radar giving then a truly beautiful, and enticing story. That’s exactly what Jennifer did with Forever With You. She turned one character’s flaws into something relateable, and matched her perfectly with her soul mate. I enjoyed this book for so many reasons, and one being it was unexpected, and with this series, each book is as different than the last. It’s a fresh romance filled with everything that makes us blush in the cheeks, and weak in the knees.

We first met Nick and Stephanie in two separate Wait For You novels. It’s a small world after all! I didn’t much like Stephanie. She wasn’t on my list of characters I would have chosen for their own story, but that shows you how much I know, because Stephanie worked her way right into my heart. We really get to know her, and understand her. Nick was a character; I couldn’t quite figure out, but wanted to. That’s where the mystery. You see; Nick and Stephanie are what I would call relationship phobic. They enjoy one-night stands, and not having to deal with the hassle of falling in love and being close to anyone. Then you throw these two together, and their similarities are jolting. They meet coincidently when Nick runs into Stephanie as she’s moving in, and helps her with a box, no that’s not innuendo. They smiled. She blushed, flirted a little, and hinted that he worked at a bar close by. Stephanie was insanely attracted to Nick, and goes to the said bar. One thing leads to another and Nick ends up at her apartment not to help her carry a box. They have a quick romp, and he leaves, neither of them having any expectations, but you might have heard of crazy Katy and her psychic mouth saying this.

“It’s her. The one you’re going to fall for and fall hard. Oh, boy, you have so met your match. Totally.”

If Katy says it has to be true, right? Yes, Nick has met his match. He knows it. Everyone knows it. It just may take Nick and Stephanie to get with the program, but when they do it’s magnificent. No, I’m not giving anything away, because the story takes off from this point, and you will be glued to the pages. It’s emotional, and endearing. Parts may break your heart in two, but when you get to the end, you won’t be disappointed, oh yeah there’s something super special at the end.

Stubborn, strong, hard, caring, are all ways to describe Nick and Stephanie. You wouldn’t even have guessed how complex these characters could be. They give as good as they get, and you will easily want to jump into the book and be a part of their world. Stephanie becomes that friend who always has your back, who you can tell anything to. Nick is the stand-up guy, who will protect you when you are in need.

Jennifer gives us what we need in this story a part from the sensitive material, we get the sweet, and humorous dialogue we have grown to love from these books, and the true passage into being adults.

Fans of this series will fall head over heels in love, and for me like every book I read from this author, I’m left wanting more, so much more.

“She’s going to break his heart.”

This book was so good! I had a silly smile on my face after I finished reading it. I even told my husband how cute it was. By now, he understands my crazy love for fictional characters.

From the moment JLA said she was writing about Stephanie, I knew I was looking forward to her story. Remember, Stephanie is the girl that had a thing with both Cam and Jase before they met their true loves.

Steph has moved away from home and close to her new job at the mixed martial art center. She's carrying one of her moving boxes the first time she meets Nick. Nick is not only gorgeous but available. He invites her to the bar he works at and Steph can't resist going there. After a very passionate encounter, they both know the drill. Neither is ready for a relationship. A one-night-stand is the only thing they are looking for except life is tricky that way.

I was swooning all over the place with Nick. He had a way of showing his feelings with actions. He had this hidden sweetness, loyalty, and protectiveness that makes him so appealing to me.

As for Steph, she was a strong heroine. A normal girl with a normal libido. She wasn't mean or rude. She actually was someone I would love to be friends with. In a way, she was vulnerable too and I loved that Katie and Roxy were there for her when she needed support. I'm hoping Katie gets a book.

JLA has written so many of my favorite series including this one. I can't wait to read Fire in You.

To be honest, I think this is my least favorite book of the series so far. Not because I didn’t like the writing or such. But because I couldn’t connect to the characters as much.

I am not like Stephanie. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t judge her. I feel like every person makes their own choices. And that’s fine. She enjoys hook-ups, but has never found a person she wants a relationship with. And as long as there are no illusions on either side, that’s great for her. It’s just that I am not like that. So it’s much harder for me to connect to her, than it was to Roxy. The same goes for Nick. I don’t actually know a guy like him. So it’s a bit harder to imagine I guess?

What I liked most about this book is that this situation seems a lot more relatable. I mean, not many people go through what Roxy went through. But many women/couples do go through this situation. And it’s good to see it represented in a book.

Overall, I did enjoy their story. And I’m glad to have read it. Like I said, I would recommend this series to you if you like new adult.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good addition to this fantastic series

I'll admit that I'd been resisting reading this book despite devouring every other book in this series the instant they were released. I've loved all the other books, with the exception of Be with Me (because Jase is a total douche canoe) so I wasn't sure how I was going to react to this one.

My biggest issue was Stephanie. I have detested her throughout this series and I didn't want Jennifer to make me like her. I really dislike girls like her and to be honest, it really took me a good while to warm up to her. By the end, I did have sympathy for her and I felt like I understood her more. Still can't say I'm overly fond of her.

Nick saved this book for me. He's always been a bit of an enigma, and I liked learning more about him. He is a really good guy, and he has a good heart. I didn't swoon over him like I did with Cam and Jax, but he is still decent leading-man material.

The plot handles two sensitive inter-linked subject matters in Jennifer's usual inimitable style. The story was solidly built and appropriately handled without glossing over the difficulty of the situations they faced. Emotional depth was decent.

However, the plot was very predictable and that's the main reason why this is a 4-star rating. I thought we might have seen more of the subplot surrounding Rick, as I'm sensing there's more to this story. Possibly I'm thinking it's linked to what happened to Roxy and those other girls in the last book, and maybe it will be developed in the next book. Or I could be completely on the wrong page. Guess we'll see!

If you have read the other books in this series then I think you'll enjoy this one. For me, it's not my favorite, but still a very decent read.

Jennifer L. Armentrout does it again! Forever with you is a stunning book filled with romance, drama and so many feels. I was laughing, crying and expressing very emotion in between. Nick and Steph have some pretty heavy obstacles to overcome and every second was a pure joy to read. Armentrout has an amazing ability of making her characters feel like real people. You experience a journey whilst reading her books, so much so that you feel like the story is actually happening to friends of yours because you can't contemplate theses characters being imaginary. There is a weight to Armentrout's books that last far beyond the final pages of the book. Nick and Steph are simply stunning characters with flaws you could most likely find within yourself and i can't say enough for how much i loved them and this book.

Nick and Steph both appeared in previous books in the series and before now they were the two characters i never connected with. With Steph it is most likely because she slept with two of the previous heroes in the series and i disliked her quite judgmentally because of this. If you are fearing reading this book because of this let me tell you now that you would be a fool not to read this book. There is such a vulnerable side to Steph as she explains her past and the reasons for her actions that it becomes impossible not to love her. You also see a different side to Nick and you watch him grow as a person and finally become a man and quite an amazing one at that.

I cannot wait for the next book as it looks like it will be another masterpiece.

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay but felt flat

This is Nick and Stephine's story. We met Stephine is 'Be with me' she was not a major charater she was the girl that helped Tressa when her roommate killed herself. Nick works at Mona'a and everyone is there when Stephine walks in after moving there after college.
After reading the first two books where everyone is at college and there is a small incident and then reading Clla'sbook that is explosive and takes you on a compleate different journey but this book takes you back to the college books. What I mean is, the incident that happends in this book could have happened while being in college. There was no mystery or anything. I thought there was going to be something but bothing was made from it. I felt this book was a little flat. It's not a bad book it's just with the other two books, coming away from college, this one fell flat and I was a little bored with it. I found myself wanting something to happen.
I normerly enjoy Jennifer L Armentrout's books but I didn't enjoy this book at all. Shame really. But, please read it because although I felt it was flat for me it is still a good book, I just wanted more from it which is why I gave it a 4 stars.

I love this group of people and plots. It's great to observe the characters grow develop and open up. Stephanie was not one of my favourites in the other stories, but I didn't know her, like now. Without giving to much away her story was well told, very emotional. With a very good insight into the terrible emotional problems her story can have on an individual and partner . Nick again develops into a wonderful carin character in this storyline. With not only a very unwell grandfather, but the problems this high lights. A very well written episode . Can't what for other characters to have their storyline heard.

I really enjoyed this whole series so far and although it had more heartbreak in this one, I think it was one of my favourites because these terrible things happen and it's not all just one big happy ending. I love how we get to see all the other couple in this book and how they've come along so far. Nick and Stephanie are perfect for each other and as two characters intertwined with the other stories it's nice to know more about them.
