I think this book completed my reading of this publisher "Legends of the West" series. Note that if you read the entire series you will begin to notice that there are overlaps and each book contains some of the same information. That is to be expected when all the major players in the west were friends or at least knew each other and moved around the same towns.
I enjoyed reading this book. It contained (high level) a great deal of information on Bat, some of which I knew but some was new to me. I found his relationship with Teddy Roosevelt interesting, particularly that Teddy liked him because Bat had no political desires or motivations. Despite his early adventures, Bat seemed to have found his life's calling when he got married, moved to NY and became a writer. Unlike most of his peers he seemed to live out his final years in peace and comfort. This is a good read I think you will enjoy if you are a fan of America's western legends.
