5.0 out of 5 stars Finding Mr Brightside

There are some books that capture you from just the synopsis, Finding Mr Brightside was one of those books, I was fascinated by the way that Juliette and Abram know of each other, Juliette's Mom and Abram's Dad were having an affair and subsequently died together in a car accident, and while they've lived down the street from each other all of their lives they've avoided personal contact, until the night they run into each other at a pharmacy, it's from this encounter they begin to spend a lot of time together and ultimately find kindred spirits in each other having both gone through the same thing.

This story was so funny, heartwarming and cute, I adored it and finished it in one sitting and wanted to reread it immediately then and there it was just so good.

This may just be one of my favourite books of the year so far.

For those who love their contemporary romances with an original storyline, then you need to pick this one up.

5.0 out of 5 stars A book for people who love YA books

This was a charming, well-written book full of complex characters. I loved both Juliette and Abram. The story drew me in without being overly histrionic; though the plot could have led to wildly out-of-control YA book angst, Mr. Clark managed to make the story emotional and compelling without falling into tired tropes and cliches.
I wish this book had more reviews...it should be read by everyone who loves YA books, unless you're only in it for sex (which is only briefly mentioned). Then you probably won't like this book, so you should go back to the badly written crap that gets hundreds of 5 star reviews for no apparent reason. I would put this up at the same level as Eleanor & Park. Kudos, Mr. Clark. Please, please write more.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of My Favorite Reads of 2015

This is easily one of my favorite books of 2015. A great story with great voices. I rarely like storytelling that involves alternating voices, but this works so well because the voices are two distinct people. Laugh out loud funny at times and heartbreakingly poignant at others, I've recommended this book to everyone I recommend books to. I fear it's gotten lost in the crowded YA field, but I genuinely hope it finds a few more readers. Just a terrific book.

4.0 out of 5 stars An Enjoyable Story of Two Modern-Day Teens
Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2015

A light-hearted fun story of two teens drawn to each other despite their families' history together. I don't think this will really needs a spoiler alert but Juliette's mother and Abram's father were having an affair and died together in a car accident. Each of them has some mental health issues which are complicated by their parents' actions. Their need to support each other and grow as individuals and a couple is really the heart of the book. A good summer read.

A lot of people probably don't get this sarcastic humor, but it's right up my alley! I loved how they both just got each other and fit so imperfectly perfect!

4.0 out of 5 stars Abram and Juliet will become your friends

I thoroughly enjoyed this book - it's YA fiction with relatable, flawed teen characters that I actually liked getting to know and found myself rooting for the whole way. When you find people in a book that you can actually imagine meeting in real life, it's a special story and a gifted author. You will be glad you picked up this awesome read.

I really enjoyed this insightful read. I loved how the Author Jay Clark picked up on certain insights on each character and played on them throughout the story. It was a refreshing young love story with big heart elements.
