4.0 out of 5 starsGood people..if you do not tell the king that all this belongs to the Marquis of Carabas you shall be chopped as small as herbs!

Gotta love a pussycat with something to prove, especially since the cat was all that was given the youngest son from his father's estate and the son was of a mind that when he had "eaten up my cat and made a muff of his skin, I will die of hunger." A very good comical farce of 28 pages length with quality illustrations roughly every other page, my favorite being the one of the king's guards running to the riverbank to save the naked Marquis from "drowning" at the clever cat's bequest being so finely detailed and amusing. Very good book!

This eBook is definitely in ye olde style, especially the illustrations, which isn't a bad thing unless you happen to have an aversion to things like that. The illustrations were pretty good, except for one that was clearly meant to be horizontal and was flipped on its side. If you are reading on a kindle or tablet it won't be a problem since you can turn the device, but if you're reading it on a desktop or laptop it might throw you for a temporary loop.
4.0 out of 5 starsBeautifully Ilustrated for Kindle!

I'm a big fan of fairy tales and was pleased that this one was such a visual delight. It's quite short, but worth it for the lovely pictures if you want to share this with a child. I look forward to purchasing more by this company.
