I'm a stay at home Mom and bought this book bc I am having a hard time feeling productive. I feel like all I do is play catch up and never get anything real done. I definitely need a better routine and I think this book will help.
First off, it covers a lot of ground! I think it would have been more aptly titled Level Up Your Life. The authors talk about almost every aspect of life--habits, psychology, decluttering your home, daily routines, schedules, etc. Honestly, it was a little overwhelming at first. However, I took a lot away from its content.
One of my favorite tips was habit stacking, or when you use an existing habit to create a new one. I have heard of this before, but it was explained so thoroughly here that I was able to start walking more just by using it. I simply started walking around my house anytime I used my phone for fun. Browsing Pinterest? I got up and walked around while doing it. Watching YouTube? Start walking. Talking to a friend on the phone? You guessed it, walking. It really worked well. Now, I find myself getting up the minute my hand reaches for my phone.
Another tip I liked was narrowing down my to do list by deciding on the 3 most crucial items that need to get done rather than trying to tackle the whole thing. This makes it so much less daunting and I've actually been able to cross a few things off said list!
There are many more tips and ideas and big concepts included. This book is definitely worth the read. I took away one star bc at times, it felt almost like too much was being covered. I will probably re-read it soon bc I know I didn't catch everything the first time. There is a great recap chapter (I think it was chapter 8) that briefly goes over everything. I found that very helpful. Overall, I recommend this book to anyone looking to be more productive by having a better daily routine.
