This is the third book in the Marked Men series. I suppose you could read each of the books as a standalone. However, each story builds off the previous book, and I think you’ll miss a lot of details and information on the characters if you don’t read them in order.
Rome was such a hottie. The Archer brothers really are something! I loved how Rome could act all broody one second, and then how absolutely sweet he could be with Cora the next. He struggled after leaving the military and I felt for him trying to find a place to fit in being a civilian again. Cora and Rome were perfect together, and I loved how they got together so quickly into the story.
What I didn’t like as much was Cora self-imposed drama regarding her ex, an ex I might add that cheated on her YEARS earlier. Those scenes got a little old. She hung on to that excuse for far too long, and all the talk about the search for Mr. Perfect was a little over the top. I also got aggravated with Cora trying to get up in everyone else’s business, yet not handling her own the correct way she should have.
The books ends with the set up for the next book which is Nash’s and Saint’s.
