1.0 out of 5 starsAbsolute Rubbish

Absolutely horrible for a Ghostwalker book. Wyatt is an a-hole, if I was Gator I'd punch him in the head. He treats Pepper like a slave, and she's a semi-useless character anyway. "When I get all jealous and mean you just need to deal with it." Uh....what?! No, you need a swift kick in the cajones my friend. The enhancements are getting completely ridiculous now, with Cayenne being able to use spider silk and Trap walking through walls. When did this become a knockoff version of the X-men? I used to love Feehan's writing, but all her books are interchangeable now and boring. I also don't like that she's adding new Ghostwalkers when the old ones aren't all mated yet (Ian and Tucker anybody?).
2.0 out of 5 starsstop the writing about wimpy women please!!!!

I read this book thinking that this could be great. What we got was disappointment , I mean Pepper was one of the worse characters I've read about. The sex and violence don't bother me. This is EROTICA and if it's too much than read one of those long winded historical romance novels. I couldn't get past the fact that Ms Feehan made this the wimpiest woman ever written(ok not the wimpiest) but damn close. I don't mind a little angst or in security but not every other page.!!! Come on I've had strong women in my life and I like to think women are not doormats like this woman. You do what you have to do to keep your family safe and with the DNA she had she should have been badass, instead we get crybaby. Wyatt was a total ass. I like protector not dictator. He needed a serious ass whipping by Pepper. I don't mind too much caveman but I have a brain and I know how to use it. I want a real man not my father telling me what to do and when to do it. YOU NEED TO WRITE ABOUT WOMEN WHO ARE STRONG. Not women who are either bitches or doormats. Won't be reading anymore Ghostwalker books until your women are strong like your men!!!!!
4.0 out of 5 starsI REALLY LIKED VIPER GAME BUT DIDN'T LOVE IT!!!!

Wyatt Fontenot has been asked to come back home to the Bayou by his Gran Mere Nonny. She tells Wyatt there are strange things going on in the Bayou. Possibly its the Bayou legend of the Rougarou, a shapeshifter. Wyatt returns home with two of his GhostWalker teammates The Fortunes brother Ezekiel and Malichai Fortunes. Mordichai the third brother has been left behind with the rest of the GW team 4. Nonny tells Wyatt and his friends how she was attacked by the security guards at Wilson Plastics a fairly new plant in the Bayou. Wilson Plastics has guards, high fences and looks like a prison. It is the old home sanatorium of Dahlia Le Blanc (see bk2 Mine Game) that was burned down.
No one messes with Nonny and gets away with it. Wyatt and his GW friends pay a visit on the guard. Wyatt hands out a harsh beating to the guard named Larry. While there they see a strange somethings running through the swamp in a blur. One is very very tiny and the other is small an petite in size but they both are bleeding. They have been shot. Wyatt and his friends track the strange phenomenons blurring through the swamp with no success. On retuning home there are two people he senses in his house with Nonny and there is the smell of blood. Pepper is holding a knife to Nonny while Nonny treats her gunshot wounds and there sitting in a chair next to them is a beautiful baby girl named Ginger and she has been shot to.
What can I say my heart broke and I was ready to get inside this story and torture Dr. Peter Whitney. Whitney and his assitant Dr. Thomas Braden. Dr. Whitney might be the most diabolical Villain I have ever read and he gets worst with each GhostWalker story. He hasn't given up on finding psychic females for his enhancement program and Pepper and even the little 17 moth old Ginger have been enhanced. Wilson Plastics are the termination labs for Dr. Whitneys so called scientific mistakes such as Pepper and Ginger. Oh wait Pepper was only able to get Ginger out. Ginger is a identical triplet. Her two sister Thym and Cannelle are still trapped in there and slated to be terminated.
Viper Game has a lot of surprises!! The problems I had with the story were Wyatt and Pepper have lots of sex scenes but they were mostly the same repeated scenario. Lots of sex scene but nothing special or very erotic don't mean love. This is usual for Christine Feehan she normally writes very erotic and different types of sex scene in her books and not the same one over an over. I had a real problem with The Snake DNA scenario storyline I HATE SNAKES and SPIDERS!! and the story just kept creeping me out. I have a real phobia with Snakes and Spiders which almost caused me to give Viper Game 3 stars. Instead I settle on 4 becasue the problem is me on this issue. I also, didn't feel that Wyatt was connected to Ginger, Thym and Cannelle. More time should have been spent fleshing this part of the story out. Wyatt seemed disconnected at times referring to them as those children. Once you read VG you will understand better what I am saying. I always loved Wyatt before he was enhanced. His brother is Raoul "Gator" Fortenot from GhostWalker team 1 (see Night Game bk 3) . Nonny has been waiting for Great Grands for ever. Why wasn't Gator and Flame written in the storyline? This would have made it more personal. Since becoming enhanced Wyatt has really changed and he comes across mean an abusive to Pepper. His jealousy is off the charts. It is explained why he reacts this way, but it didn't work for me. It was abusive an Not an Alpha male protective of his mate; which I think was the intention of the Christine Feehan.
I have waited 21/2 yrs for this installment of the GhostWalker series. Compared to the 10 books before it, it was a bit lacking. Hence 4 stars instead of 5. I Highly Highly Recommend this entire series. But I recommend to read all the books in the series before this one. It will make much more sense if you do. It will be well worth your time. The GhostWalkers are still one of the best series I have ever read. I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
I have to agree with others. This book was filled with too much sex. It seemed never ending in the first part of the book. I don't know if the publishers are asking for more 50 Shades of Gray type slant from their authors, but it seems like every book I read lately is heavy on sex and light on plot movement. I loved the continuation of storyline of the Ghostwalkers, but it wasn't until almost the end of the book that Ms Feehan get to that. And then it was almost too little too late. She could have also done a better job with the Cajun-speak. I wanted to know more about how they were going to help the babies, Spider-girl, Flame and Gator. Just missing so much and if you take the never ending sex out, it would be a novella at best.
If you are reading my reviews, you should have realized by now that I am reading (rereading in some instances) this series in order before I read the latest one. I enjoyed all of them, some more than others, and this one was great. A little corny in some parts with the Cajun drawl and all, but this storyline draws you in and gives you great fantasies. Gator's brother, Wyatt, is featured in this novel and although he had sworn of women, he rescues Pepper and a baby girl who turns his world upside down. Once again the ghostwalkers are pitted Sharon's Whitney's bad super soldiers and are thankful for their enhanced abilities. Love, danger, greed, and morality weaves in and out of these novels and keep you interested and wanting the next chapter!

I used to love this author. Her stories used to really spark my imagination. But that was a while ago and now, well the books as pretty much the same formula over and over again.
Wyatt is a jealousy over bearing and bossy ghostwalker who I remember previously being quite happy go lucky. Pepper, well one minute she's a mum, next she's a soldier, then she's a terrible soldier and not good enough to be a mum.
Sorry, the whole combination of this story was weak. The triplets, which were the only true 'new' aspect in these stories were overlooked. One minute they watched their language around the babies, the next it was sex, swearing and death. Lovely upbringing.
Their was little plot, too much same ol same ol sex and not even interesting and lively dialogue to get you to really care what happened to anyone but the babies aka the viper gang.
2.0 out of 5 stars... had to with Viper Game as I was very disappointed. I have been a fan of Christine Feehan ...

I don't normally bothether writing reviews but I felt I had to with Viper Game as I was very disappointed. I have been a fan of Christine Feehan for years and have loved all of her books and series, but with this book I found myself skimming so much of it and found it very weak in comparisson with her other stories. It starts well with Wyatt and hearing about his other companions, but once he is introduced to Pepper it goes right down hill. It is very predictive and Christine seems to be taking a leaf out of LKH's books and focusing too much on the sex instead of good plot. The fact that Pepper's ability is that she is basically a succubus and entices every single man into wanting to sleep with her says it all. And Wyatt is very predictable again in that he is the typical overbearing guy who orders her around and no woman would ever put up with such a controlling man. If he does something especially bad or if she wants something, he just distracts her with sex and she is a very weak character. It is a shame as I was looking forward to reading this for so long but there was just far too much sex in the story and it got so tedious that I ended up missing big chunks out. The babies were nice to read about, as was hearing more about Wyatt's other team members, but due to lack of plot and an overabundance of 'steamy' scenes I felt I could only give it 2 stars

A lot more story would have been nice between the endless and rather repetitious pages of sex. I am a fan but I think the different series are all getting mixed together, the heart searching in most of the last stories gets boring as does the repetition right through the books - we get how Wyatt cares about Nonny, what she did for him - we don't need telling every other page ! I think Christine is running low on stories and compensating by making her characters more and more extreme. The last books are not a patch on the others. Please get back to good storylines, not just sex and sensation.
Have to say I was disappointed with this one having been an avid reader of Christine Feehan for years. The line between endearingly possessive and raging nut-bar has definitely been crossed, so much so that I didn't really like the hero much at all. He definitely isn't the Wyatt I remember from Gator's story. I'd give this one a miss.

WOW Christine Feehan Has Done it Again: Wyatt 😼 and Pepper 🐍 were MADE for EACH OTHER. She was made to be a Sexual Assassin 💏 which she defines as she's a stubborn ass 😉 (but she needs to loose her sexual heat which he's the ONLY ONE can take release it, so he thinks getting her pregnant every time he goes away 😍👪👭👬) they have Triplets who are little 'Viper Killers' 🐍which they didn't know about except that Pepper looked after them and she escaped with one baby and wants to go back for the other 2 and there's another woman Cayenne a 'Black Widow' 🐜(who telepathically gets into unfeeling Trap's head) in the compound on the Bayou, which is run by Bradon and a cover as a plastic factory but he enhanced Super Soldiers hard beef men, 💪hard to kill will they succeed....... CAN'T WAIT for the NEXT EPISODE of The Ghostwalker's Episode 😉
