4.0 out of 5 stars Fun & festive romance

Eden is counting down until Christmas. It's her favorite time of year. Yet her holiday spirits take a down turn when Declan Fox steps back in her life. He's the boy in school that teased her for not knowing how to kiss. Has he matured over time? Eden thinks he might have, but then he blows her off for days. She can't help her feelings for him, but can she trust him not to ruin Christmas for her?

A wonderfully fun novella that made me laugh out loud. Eden is the lovable every-woman and I liked her right away. I immediately connected with her, hitched along on her roller coaster of emotions with Declan. Short as the story might be, it was a romance long time in the making. The history between the two of them added depth to their relationship and caused more of an emotional impact.

Lots of holiday references that had me smiling. This is a fantastic Christmas (or any time of the year!) read!

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable Short Christmas Story

Eden is at a pub in York with her friends when Declan waltzes in, ruining Eden’s night. Declan had made Eden’s teenage years a nightmare with his constant bullying and he’s the last one she wants to see during her night out with friends before Christmas. I enjoyed Eden’s personality and thoughts that were often sarcastic and frank but always funny. When Eden realizes Declan has changed and isn't as “douchey” as he used to be they go from enemies to friends to much more after a dare forced them to share a kiss.

There were a couple of minor errors (formatting, spelling, and a missing word here or there) but it didn’t bother me in the least.

There’s humor, romance, and heartbreak in this short Christmas story. I enjoyed it!

Eden hoped she wouldn't have to see Declan again after last time. He was rude and dropped off the face of the planet. But a Christmas get-together with her friends brings Declan back into her life again and she's not sure how she feels about him. A little Truth-or-Dare kiss brings up the feelings Eden doesn't want to think about. Will Declan stay around this time or leave her without a word?

This was a sweet little Christmas story! The characters were very fun and I understood Eden's hesitation with Declan, but I wanted to see it play out. A great light read!

2.5 stars -- Would have been a 3 star book, as I enjoyed the first 75% of the book....but then came the ending. And I'm sorry, but that ending was just not satisfying at all. No apologies, just a half-assed explanation? Nope. Sorry. Nope. Did I say nope? Yeah, nope. Sorry for the pathetic review, but I can't really explain more without going into spoilers.

Declan and Eden... Younger they were boyfriend and girlfriend only to break up and reunite older. A well written story that will hold you captive and peak your interest until the end. I enjoyed it thoroughly and it only left me wanting more. Well worth the read!!!

This is my favorite New Adult Christmas novella that I have read so far this season. I loved both of the protagonists and I really enjoyed the story. The book was long enough to have a fully fleshed out back story and great character development. Really cute and sweet and perfect for a quick holiday pick me up.

I thoroughly enjoyed Declan and Eden's story. The will they, won't they storyline kept you guessing until the end. I would have given it five stars, but really wanted to see why Declan was messed up about his past. That I way the reader would understand exactly why he acted like he did towards Eden.
That said, this story still had all the festive feels. Great to sit and relax with a cuppa. Perfect for this time of year.

I thought this short novella would be a lovely way to wind down the Christmas season.

Eden and Declan are old school friends but they have never seen completely eye to eye. You kind of get the feeling that there is more to it and that really they want each other. A Christmas game of truth and dare takes an unexpected turn for both of them and things lead from there.

I found the story progressed at a good pace, and there was enough background information to make the relationship believable. My only negative is that I thought the ending was a bit abrupt - I would have liked to know what happened next!

A Christmassy 4.5* :)

Eden and Declan know each other from their school days when Declan was always teasing and tormenting Eden. They meet again and he offers to drive her home from University. There is a spark that Eden can't deny but she doesn't really believe that Declan may have changed and matured enough to take a risk on him.

She loves Christmas, he hates it. He seems to blow hot and cold, in contact with her all the time and then ignoring her for days on end. She will not let it spoil her Christmas.

A good story because it doesn't use the usual formula of everything will be fine just because it is Christmas. It is a story that could be expanded and taken further.

This was a nice short story. I think I would have liked more from it, to get to know why Dec keeps running. I would have liked to see more blossom and find out what happens for them. Apart from that it was a nice short Christmas story about young love.

A good easy read, would have made a good novel if it was a bit longer but still worth it.
