Love's Rhythm was a burning up the pages type of read, due to the intense sexual chemistry between Nick and Lauren. At it's core it answers that age old question of any fan of music..who was the inspiration behind a Rock Star's mega hit. I immediately thought of Layla by Eric Clapton or You're So Vain by Carly Simon, for years people have wondered what is the real story behind those epic songs, who were they singing about. In Love's Rhythm Rock God Nick Blackthorne has an epiphany 15yrs after he walked out on Lauren his first love for fame. She was the reason for his songs that got him noticed in the music industry. Lauren was his muse, he poured his heart out on those songs about their relationship. And now he's changed, he wants a real life not the life of a rock star, but the life of a loving family. Something solid that would last a lifetime with the women that held his heart and soul in the palm of her hand. But first he has to find her and beg her forgiveness and hope like hell she will take him back.
A lot of things can change in 15yrs, has Nick set himself an impossible task. You will have to read Love's Rhythm to find out. This couple was HOT for each other, Nick knew what he wanted and went after Lauren like a runaway freight train, once back together they were like a starving man at a feast. Lauren's body was telling her yes while her mind kept telling her maybe. But when you've got the love of your life begging for forgiveness and sexing you up it is only a matter of time before you give in and hold on tight to your heart's desire.
Loved this story, I do feel it ended abruptly. I wanted to experience Lauren and Nick as a family unit. An epilogue would have been a nice touch. Also I wished the author had started the story 15yrs earlier, maybe a chapter or 2 so the reader could experience Lauren and Nick's coming together and their breakup. That would have made LR a much more powerful story, the reader experiencing the entire cycle of their romance. The big secret was not a big secret if you read romance, I loved how the secret was revealed. I also would like to put in a request for a book about Aslin, maybe pair him up with Lauren's friend Jenny.
