I love Roald Dahl books! However it’s only 40 pages the half is just excerpts of his other books. I think the price tags is a bit much for what you get! Most of his other books are in the 300 - 400 page range. It does have some color illustrations instead of the usual black and white.
Roald Dahl still delights after all these years. First my daughter devoured everything he wrote and mourned his passing when she was just 11, but now a new generation is enchanted by his timeless magic. Great gifts for young readers, even pre-readers. Dahl never talks down to kids and invites them into an unspoken conspiracy with adventure after adventure.

I have purchased this book a few times now....once for me, another when oir copy fell apart, and thrice for gifts. Dahl is always fun to read. We have all of his children’s books, and we wear them out......

I bought all the children's books as gifts for Christmas for my grandchildren. Hoping to get them to put their phones down. They have not received them yet and I will probably never know if they like them.
2.0 out of 5 starsThe story is still a classic, but this edition....

The book is a classic, but the quality of this edition is terrible. Printing on some pages makes it almost impossible to read, and half of the book is a sample for another Ronald Dahl novel. It’s like something you’d get free with a box of cereal.

Should've read product specifications, but am also disappointed with how small the paperback is! It won't be something I can read to my little boy because the pictures are so small on the pages, such a shame when it was a childhood favourite of mine. Does not fully display Quentin Blake's memorable illustrations!
Disappointed that this book is smaller than the original copy that we've had for the past twenty years. Obviously the story is the same but due to the size it's not so easy to share the pictures with a two year old.
My six year old loves this. Have read it a few times already and will probably read it lots more times. A tiny bit scary in places so maybe not for very young children.
Very funny book, my 5 year-old laughed and laughed. We love Ronald Dahl but occasionally have to edit on the hoof when the characters are mean to each other. This one is about a crocodile who wants to eat children but actually is very light in tone. Recommended!
5.0 out of 5 starsGreat, classic book but smaller than expected.

I can't not give a Royal Dahl book 5 stars but it's a lot smaller than I expected. Perhaps it says the dimensions and I didn't read properly. But it's about the size of a standard novel. I thought it'd be comic book sized for some reason.
