5.0 out of 5 starsJames Naismith - Man Who Invented Basketball
Reviewed in the United States on September 11, 2010
This is a small, well written book that covers James naismith as well as any I have read. Glad to add it to my collection
I did not purchase the book. I borrowed it from the local public library. The book was very insightful and entertaining. Dr. Naismith viewed sports as a vehicle to develop people's body and character. He dedicated his life to that worthy goal. It is a must read for any coach in gaining a true perspective on the value and benefits of sports. I consider both Dr. Naismith and Coach John Wooden as two of the greatest examples of using sports as a tool for the development of young men and women. I recommend this book as well as the book "They Call Me Coach" which is covers John Wooden life as must reads for any youth sports coach.
