Man what a great read. It took a lil longer than usual due to a gang of overtime to read this but I found myself having to make myself put it down so I could get some sleep. I'm from Florida and never been to NY but the details were so good I swore I knew what NY in the late 90s looked like. I liked that all the characters had a backstory it made them seem more real and visible. But man that dam K-Dawg such a smart cat I liked him and I hated him but he always had a plan and he always saw it come about. I found myself at the end cheering so hard for him and I loved the way this story ended. I will say I overlooked this book for months even with a homeboy begging me to read it, I'm glad I stopped being hard headed and am now a Kwan fan. Pick it up you won't wanna put it down.

So I purchased this book after reading Ghetto Bastard. During that story I developed an interest for a side character named Demon, and I wanted to know more. His role in this story was remarkable, and literally left you wanting more. The story alone was classic, unforgettable characters of course, and also sent a message. The ending... the ending felt like an ending. You could feel the tempo pick up. You could see the finish line. You stepped over the dead bodies, dodged bullets, grabbed friends, and ran with K-Dawg towards the goal. Hell of a story. Shout Out Demon...

I gave this book a 5 star rating because I liked the story line it talked about how the main caracter had a hard life killed his step father went to jail for murder got out and then became a big drug dealer that would not go back to jail. He loved his family and wanted better for them and him. I liked the book a lot and wish they made a part two
Great read I so wish there was part 2. Id love to find out how Justice was reunited w/ K dawg, and all the events leading up to the Road Dawgs breaking Animal out of jail. K'wan Foye's literature, has been the focal point of my collection for a few years now and I'm never disappointed. Please keep them coming
Great book it’s a must I give it a 5 star. Page after page I wanted to read more. I read a lot of books per month. I must say this is one book that was very hard for me to put down. I’m looking forward to reading part two.
I am still trying to get thru all his books. Each one sorta keeps to the characters and I love when I catch one of his characters in the next book. Although I am reading some out of sequence I am greatly actonished by him.
