This review is based only on the audio narration of the book, not the plot or characters. I tried to listen to this book for a three hours on the drive to work and home, my usual method and the narrator just didn't catch my attention to retain anything. I'm still trying to figure out if the narrator was British or Irish, but three things caused me to stop listening to the book. The speed of voice, too slow, the enunciation of words, and narrator's voice. Too long of pauses in between sentences for no reason, unable to understand certain sentences caused me to hit 20 second rewind too many times, and the narrators voice caused me to drift off from the story onto other things that normally would not happen when listening to a story. Again, the plot of the story sounds very interesting as well as the main character, but I can't listen to a story for 11 hours if the narrator can't keep me interested in the story. I feel a little bad being the first reviewer of the audio book and only giving it two stars, but its my honest opinion based on listening to hundreds of audio books.
