This is a nice, quick read and I enjoyed the book. Any book that touches upon bullying is much needed in today's environment.

I very much enjoyed reading this book with my 8 year old daughter. It was well told and delivered on its message on Anti bullying. Gabrielle Ford describes such difficult circumstances and the difficulty of maintaining hope while lonely and living with a disability. I'd recommend it for kids to help build empathy and an appreciation for having dogs in our lives.
5.0 out of 5 starsMiddle School Students loved the book

My 6th grade students were totally immersed in the story. They were impressed with Gabe's strength and determination but worried about the toll it was taking on her life. The students were relieved when her love for Izzy ended up opening so many doors for Gabe. Not only is Gabe the voice for America's bullied, but she demonstrates how love can conquer fear and that playing the cards you have been dealt can lead to a winning hand. My students can't wait to meet Gabe.
My tears are drying. what a inspirational book. Gave and Izzy were true schoolmates. I hope Gabr and Izo continue to spread their word to everyone about being bullied. it's a lecture needed by parents and children alike.

A fabulous story of courage and true grit! This teenager is so full of love she insists on reaching out to those who have hurt her as she suffers with a serious illness that she keeps from them! Can't believe I found this book in a pile in a discount store. I'm happy to see that it has now gone viral!!
Excellent reading very down to earth my grandchildren loved we read and discussed what happens in their school. Ms Ford has done a outstanding job of writing this book I would recommend that all young children would read this book. No student should endure bullying in school.
