I try to find a positive in everything I do but I find myself reluctant to write this review. But a promise is a promise. Here goes- I was very excited to have the opportunity to read and review a copy of this story from the author because I love to read and frankly flattered to do so. Though the story had a good premise and was very sweet it was also very wordy and the editing was awful. Words were in the wrong places or not there at all. Thousands of adjectives and filler words were running around Willy nilly with no real purpose. Dialog was juvenile and stilted. The author took forever to get to the point. I'm sorry to say I couldn't finish it. Maybe it was just me but I just couldn't . If the book was edited and slimmed down considerably then it would be a fine story I'm sure...
I agree 100% with Kathy I. I would never try to put down any writer's work after they had the courage to put it out there for others to read and critique. But I was not a fan of this series. From the first chapter I had trouble making myself read on. I even stopped half way through for a couple of weeks. But made myself finish it tonight so that I could keep my promise of writing a truthful review. The main idea was very good. But the story line wasn't there. Also the characters' speech patterns and personalities were not consistent. And the editing was very poor. From the misspelled to grammar. That doesn't mean you shouldn't read it and form your own opinion. This does not mean the author is not a good writer. This is only a review of one of her books. Maybe with better editing this could be reworked into a good read. The foundation is there.
