THE WEDDING KISS is a standalone read with a HEA. It is a sweet and clean love story. Rose was raised by a single mother that struggled to give them the bare necessities. As a result Rose suffered the insults and bullies at school that made fun of her being poor. As a young adult she set up and established a very much in demand wedding venue. Her employees and best friends all pitched in to help her make a success out of her business. Rose never has forgot that she had poor beginnings.
Donovan is her landscape artist, handyman, jack of all trades for her. He has been in love with her since he first laid eyes on her. However, his ex-wife cheated on him and he has had a hard time getting over that. And, once he did have it in his past Rose was already engaged to the distant, proper, famous plastic surgeon. He needs to check the box for wife and Rose fits the bill. He can make her into the proper wife just by being with him. Rose thinks this step-up will make her happy.
As she starts to plan her wedding, Donovan stuffy overbearing mother drops subtle hints that Rose's ideas are not really good enough for their class of people. Rose starts to doubt herself and makes changes that are not really her. Things start to go downhill when Donovan finally gets up enough nerve to express his true feelings.
This is a sweet story of finding true love and then despite all odds, doing something about it. It is an entertaining and sweet read for any age group. I would definitely recommend it.
