I get so frustrated when people give reviews based on the editing! We are not schoolteachers, (ok some probably are) but we are not being handed an assignment to grade. One of the truly special gifts of Amazon is that some of these books are written by indie authors, that means authors independent of a editing and publishing company. Yes, some of them have publishers and some of them hire editers, the great thing is that we are able to read books that we may never have had a chance of reading, or reading so quickly. Books put out for our enjoyment & at prices that are way less than what they would be if the author had to pay some ridiculous amount per word to have his book edited. Also considers how many of these really gifted people actually know the process of getting a book even looked at, let alone know someone in a publishing company? It was getting to the point that if you did not already have a best seller out or a friend in a big name publishing co. then you had no hope at all of getting your material read. So can we all please remember we could be paying $25.00 a book & waiting a year or more for the next book in a series to come out, not to mention the ones that would never see the light of our ereaders? After all of that there are some books out there that still have glaring editing errors in them. All of a sudden you all are acting like it's your chance to get even with your English teacher & her red pen! Read the story, if you like it or not rate it accordingly.
And wow will you like this book!!! Zombie apocalypse lover or not, it is a really good story! The characters in Mr. Brown's stories are such real people, these are not superheros or cage fighters, navy seals or cops, they are just like us. They do stupid stuff and have selfish feelings. They are really caring, supportive & will fight like the animals we all are when we or our loved ones are threatened. We all have pasts that we wish we coult alter, but there are some that use nightmare situations to live out their sick fantasies. To some of the survivors, the loss of humanity in their fellow man is worse than the horrible things that the zombies do. Not knowing how to battle the reality of a future where you cannot trust anyone had made some survivors opt out. just soooo hard to give these reviews without giving out spoilers! Really the best advice I can give is just READ THIS BOOK!!!! I loved it and this whole series so far I'm thinking maybe Santa should bring me a housekeeper for the Holidays! You know just till I am caught up on my reading and reviewing. Maybe a laundry service....I would ask for a wife but I think that's what my husband is asking for. :-) READ THIS SERIIES!!!
My humble apologies to the author for my use of his book review site as my podium. I just get really of the same old tired complaints about editing. Pretty soon you will be getting ratings on the cover art, (which is really cool & gory looking) or maybe they will give your book stars on which font you wrote in, what you wore...you never know! Thank you for another great story!
