5.0 out of 5 starsUntouchable Ahmed

I have to admit, in this series, I liked this book best. The whole series was good. However, this one has more combat than the others but not overbearing. It had just enough romance, but not overdone. And it had plenty of humor, of which I'm so fond of. If you're looking for reality, this is not the book for you. These characters cannot possibly exist, but characters they are. Me, sometimes I just want to kick back and enjoy a relaxing story, no horror (but I do enjoy a good horror story), not having to think about the plot or cause and effect. I love the Rose sisters and the manly men in this books. In a perfect world every town would have the Rose sisters living in their town. I'd recommend this series to anyone who just wants kick back and relax with a good book. I think young adults would really enjoy it. I do, however, strongly suggests you start with the first book so that you always know what happened before to get to this point.

This was such a beautifully told story of romance, suspense, love, friendship and family!!!!. Hot and steamy mixed with such tenderness and caring. It was perfect! Every time Ahmed said to Bridget "My Dear" in such a sweet way for such a hardened from life man......... I sighed with the perfection of it! He used the expression a lot and each time you knew how precious and cherished by him she was. The suspense was interesting and kept you guessing how it would resolve. I love this town, I love all the characters in the town. I love the dialogue and interaction between all the various couples from this whole Bluegrass series and Bluegrass Brothers series..... I enjoyed all the updates.... What a treat they were!!!! And as usual Kathleen Brooks gave us wrap ups and an epilogue that took us through to the couple's future lives. Can't say how much I enjoyed this book.... It was wonderful. I have already bought all the other Bluegrass books...... Especially excited because we get to read all of the children's stories as adults!!! Can't recommend these series enough!!!!!
I have loved the whole series. I think I liked this one the most. Though it really is hard to pick as I have loved all the books. This is the dark and mysterious Ahmed's story. I liked the fact that the heroine is a kick butt type of gal, that she tells him she loves him and he needs to deal with it and not run away. I like how they work through their feelings.
Finally, a book where the hero and heroine aren't trying to rescue each other because they did something stupid like not telling each other what is really going on, because they want to "protect" each other from the bad guy. The old opening the door when you know the killer is behind it with a knife to kill you scenario. This was so refreshing not to see that cliché.
That being said the book is full of action and surprises. There is still the bad guy. They have to catch him save the nation and fall in love. Kathleen was able to pull it off, and make it just one awesome book. This was a good way to end the series all the characters are there so you get to find out how everyone is going on with each other. If you haven't read the series I recommend reading the others you'll fall in love with the stories along with the characters in each of the books. The town of Keenston is waiting for you to visit and stay awhile.
What can I say I LOVE this series and each one is better than the last! I’m sorry that we are saying good bye for now to this series (since all the characters we know have their HEA) but what a way to go!
Ahmed has been around since the very beginning of the series (Bluegrass State of Mind) and has played one roll or another in the HEA of all the couples that have come before him. In spite of that he is something of a mystery to both the reader and the town he lives in. In this book we finally learn his secrets and why he is so determined to kill Serge (who is introduced as a bad guy in Rising Storm) and I have to tell you it’s heartbreaking. He feels he cannot have love until Serge has been dealt with and even then fears the darkness in is soul my prevent him from finding it. Though he has helped everyone else he is determined to go it alone, not wanting to expose anyone else to Serge or his own darkness but his friends will not allow it. They will help him whether he wants it or not.
Bridget is a little newer to the series but she has her share of secrets too. As the handler for Marko (the dually trained drug and explosive dog) she works in Keeneston and all over the world. She has been in the military and is currently working as private security. She has her own contacts around the world and is perfectly capable of kicking ass all on her own. I mean come on you know Ahmed wasn’t going to end up with some simpering miss cowering in the corner; Bridget is a match for him in every way.
I need to reiterate, I LOVED this book! The writing was excellent, the storyline smooth and easy to follow, the chemistry between the characters was electric. I loved getting to see everyone again. I loved the twists and turns of who knows who and from where (One of the best lines if you ask me is Cy’s frequently repeated “I am a spy”). Kathleen’s books have always been the perfect blend of romance and suspense for me and while she leaves us outside the bedroom door for the sex scenes I find I’m so caught up in the story that I don’t miss the more graphic scenes that I enjoy in some other books. Besides I have a good imagination I can guess how it goes. I’ll miss this series but I’m looking forward to what Kathleen has for us next, she’s on my auto buy list (which is actually shrinking lately) and books like this are why.

I loved this book.
Having waited through the Bluegrass series for a bit of romance for Ahmed this book made the wait worthwhile. Ahmed's back story is explained throughout the novel and we begin to understand our enigmatic hero. Bridget is just the girl for Ahmed and the twists and turns they go through before finally getting together are believable and, by turn, both exciting and funny. Keeneston rallies around our hero and the warmth that the reader can feel flowing from the Bluegrass regulars makes the novel a definate 'feel good' read.

I have read, and loved, every one of the books in the Bluegrass Brothers series by Kathleen Brooks - and 'Final Vow' is no exception. In fact, 'Wow!!!' is definitely an understatement. I feel as if I belong in Keeneston and know every one of the residents personally. I only wish there were a few more 'brothers' to write about. But, hey, what a way to finish a series. Kathleen, as ever, has not disappointed. Can't wait for a re-visit to Keeneston. In the meantime I'll keep looking for more Kathleen Brooks.

What a fitting end to an absolutely fabulous series. Every single book is packed with love, laughter and suspense. I'm really going to miss the good folk of Keeneston, they always put a smile on my face. The Rose sisters especially are hilarious. Highly recommend to readers of light heart suspense novels. As with any series it's best to read the books in order, but each one could be read as a stand alone. Lets hope at some point we revisit Keeneston and catch up the younger generation.

There are not enough words in the dictionary to describe how good this book is. I have been looking forward to the conclusion of this excellent series and I have not been disappointed. Finally we have Ahmed's story which is full of adventure, action and at last romance. All our favourite characters are also included which adds to the perfect atmosphere surrounding the series. It is sad that the series has ended but I look forward to other future books written by the great Kathleen Brooks.
