I'm conflicted with this book. While I think that it is a good way to get students who live in these situations to read and probably a pretty accurate representation of their lifestyles, I am disturbed by the perpetuation of the stereotypical way that women are portrayed in this book. There is no question that the double standards for men and women in relationships is hypocritical . It just seems to be accepted as the way it is. Men can do whatever they want and women are held to higher, monogamist standard.
Having said that, the book is an easy read--well written and flows well.
