5.0 out of 5 starsMust read!!

This book was recommended to me by my wife who works at Joe's father's (Jim's) trucking company that he mentions in the book (he never mentions them by name; hmmm? ). She is not the business book reader that i am but it was mentioned to her by Jim himself. I am glad he did. What a great book. Extremely well written and organized, but most importantly, Joe provides a basic business philosophy that will allow your company to grow regardless of the circumstances. His process is designed primarily for companies who are in a position of difficulty, or are at least in need of some soul searching, and are in need of a "reset." As a future business owner myself, this philosophy is most applicable to any business or future business at any stage. The process he spells out is what every company should follow when identifying its core values. Amy Cosper, Editor in Chief of Entrepreneur Magazine, in this month's issue said " ...you better understand your company's soul way before you start designing a business card." Joe captures this all important concept and expands upon it. This is how businesses should be built. It is certainly how I will build mine. Well done!!
I had the pleasure of working for Joe Mechlinski for several years prior to leading my own Sales and Marketing Team. For those who don't get the good fortune of working side by side with Joe, this book is the second best thing. Grow Regardless provides the strategy you need to help grow your business. By not accepting the "noise" that is economic, government, or industry factors as potential road blocks preventing success, Joe shows how you can break down your company and help build each facet of your organization to drive growth. This book will help open your eyes to how much every member of an organization "touches" the success of the business and how you as a leader can facilitate this process. I strongly recommend this book for people building teams and for anyone looking to step back and rethink how to grow their organization regardless of other factors.
I've known Joe for many years and have been a passionate believer in his message and style of doing business as well as having the privileged of calling him a friend. Responsible for growing a mid-sized IT Solutions company in the DC Metro area, I'm always looking for ways to get ahead... so when Joe took his many years of passion towards growth and put it into a book, I wanted to get my hands on it. When I read a management book, I carry a highlighter. I look for tidbits of information, highlight them and later when reviewing use it to find what I felt valuable in a book months and years later... Reading Joe Mechlinski's book, I highlighted so much my highlighter ran out and I had to get another one! Yes, I highlighted that much "good stuff". The amount of usable tid-bits Joe give in this read is simply amazing. He doesn't draw it out into a hard read, it's quick, fast, actionable and right on target. If you want to Grow Regardless... you HAVE to buy this book, read it, absorb it, then reread it, and share it! Rich Dobry - Executive VP, The Signature Group, Inc.
5.0 out of 5 starsGreat tips and practical advice; a must read for entrepreneurs and small business owners!

I've found Grow Regardless to be a great read! Joe Mechlinski offers a straight-forward approach that draws on his wide breadth of experience to nail the essentials and stress the finer points of business growth, despite of the economic environment surrounding it.
The author's thoughts include the style of work-place culture small business owners must strive foster in order to grow; this is something which I personally I believe is an essential building block for business success. His knowledge of those successful values and traits make him a resource, a mentor, and a helpful guide for any business that thinks similarly.
To sum it all up, Joe is to be commended for writing this book as a "small business cartographer", laying out a clear and detailed map for growth that feels both intuitive and instinctive.
I've personally aided a diverse group of small businesses with start-up and growth in a variety of fields and, and this book is now on the highly recommended list for all of my clients!

If you want to move your organization forward and turn it into a mission driven, high growth organization, this is a must read. There are so many things beyond our control in today's business world (government, economy, the list goes on....)....Grow Regardless will help you build a company that lasts by focusing on the intersections of relationships with your most important customers.....your leadership and employees....the most conspicuous connection to delivering a remarkable client experience and out pacing your competition.
Have a story that focuses on the 'why' you do what you do, then the 'what and how' will take care of itself. Wonderful read!
I was introduced to the book after being interviewed by one of EntreQuest's Recruiters, Maria. I read many self improvement books along with sales books and must say "Grow Regardless" is an enlightening inspiration after my own up bringing. I have already purchased 2 more copies for business owners that I think would learn by reading Joe's work. I must at least say thank you to Joe for publishing a business and behavioral book that will help CEO's and small businesses grow with today's society.
Not only proven, but a refreshingly engaging and powerful approach. Few of today's business books go beyond the promise of shortcuts to success; Mechlinski's stands out, digging at the roots, to create lasting value for business owners. Joe's more than an author, I know him as a doer - a business builder that never settles. Former CEO, Social Solutions
