Roland Yeomans is one of my favourite e-book authors. I'm not a great fan of e-books but I read a lot of them as Roland keeps coming out with another title!
This is indeed a fast-paced tale, creating a parallel world of blood bank activity. I of course could picture Roland himself in the leading role. He's drawn on his real-life experience as a blood courier I'm sure. The main character, Luke, was sympathetically crafted. I liked him straight away - how he had struggled to find a reality he could embrace. Flipping through the pages at a fast pace didn't prepare me for the 'love' Luke found.
I loved the unique emergency drive over flooded roads to get the blood for a baby in need. Great descriptions here, interspersed with the truly spooky voice of Victoria.
I found the ending unfulfilling, but I think Roland has left us hanging, waiting for a sequel...
