This book is fast paced and does not slow down till the end. The main character 'Annie' is a well rounded person who knows what she wants and does not hesitate. I really liked how this book did not have a massive back story and the author is able to quickly bring you up to date. I love the relationship between Annie and her best friend. This book covers all the emotions and had me either biting my nails or rolling on the floor laughing. This is a great start to a new series and I am thoroughly looking forward to the next book in the series!
This was a fast paced book that was enjoyable to read. Annie is an empath who finds her ability occasionally a gift, sometimes a disability and mostly an excruciating pain in her head. Everything changes for her as she goes from a girl with a dead end job to a kick ass supernatural cop. This transition couldn't have happened without her introduction into the supernatural world through her new boyfriend, vampire Jarod Remington. I also enjoyed her interactions with her best friend, Glen. I hope there is another book coming!
I really hated the heroine! She was awful, her family was awful and her friends were awful. I know this book is fiction but COME ON! Who would give this thick headed woman the time of day? Certainly not a 1000 year old vampire who wants to stay alive. This so called woman acted like a 12 year old. So annoying that the only good ending for this book would have been her death. Don't bother.
