Exciting, fast paced, likable main character. What's not to like?
Look over the shoulder of Asher Blaine as the dried out celebrity realizes the many mirrors of past self admiration show only his changeble outward appearance, and it has lost fan appeal. He definitely does not impress the cops who find him a suspect in an increasing number of murders. This is a complex, fast paced read with a satisfying ending.
“Asher shivered, acknowledging his backward metamorphosis from butterfly to worm. He was back in the cocoon now and wondered how he would know when it was time to emerge.” Asher had lived the dazzling life of a super star until his drug addictions took it all away. Now he is quietly trying to return after 2 years of clean and sober. However, someone is not happy with that. Bodies pile up while all clues point to Asher. He is frantically sifting through his prior life, trying to find the murderer. The gritty descriptions of the recovery process hit hard. A well written mystery with layers of deceit. Looking forward to the next book. This is my voluntary review of an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Drug addiction sent Asher Blaine spiraling from Hollywood A list star to an institution. Now he is clean and sober taking life one day at a time trying to rebuild his life and career from the bottom. When people from his past start getting murdered with props from his old movies, he struggles to expose the killer before he strikes again. Will he succeed or will his past demons swallow him in guilt leading to a relapse. This is a good story of redemption as well as a mystery. The characters are very well developed and relatable. I really cared about Asher and was rooting for him to repair past relationships and clear his name. I am voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving a free copy.
Asher is an actor that went through rehab and was trying to get his life back on track and back into the acting world. The people around him are being killed off and he seems to be the center of it all. He keeps getting hauled into the police station blaming him for all the murders. Someone is setting him up and he is trying to find out who it is and why. Good mystery with lots of intrigue and twists. The story kept me locked in until the murderer was revealed. I voluntarily reviewed this book.
I received this book for free for an honest review. I enjoyed this book a great deal, while I would have liked a bit more character development on some of the characters, I found them all to be unique, believable and fun.The story was engaging and held my interest, and I didn't find any part of the story that lagged or lost my interest. I did find a few of the twists a bit predictable and wasn't really all that surprised by the ending, but it wasn't as contrived as some of the others. I would definitely read another by this author.
