Anything about the Greatest Generation I like. The book was a great historical narrative about some of the brave men of WWII. We owe all we have to their selfless sacrifices. Lost an uncle flying out of Guadalcanal; this book is a tribute to him and all the rest.

This oddly titled work is a brief (60 pages or so) survey of carrier operations in the Pacific during the year following Pearl Harbor. I call it oddly titled because none of the American carriers were actually at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked on December 7. The book treads no new ground and is based upon a short list of secondary sources. While you may not find anything new here, its brevity makes it easy to follow the movement and status of the American carriers, so if you wondered where was Saratoga when the battle of Midway occurred or where was the Wasp prior to the Guadalcanal campaign, this book will tell you.
