Read this as part of an on-going project to assist a friend in creating a booklist for her group of adult children of parents with PTSD. An interesting project has me reading books I might not have.
Thoroughly enjoyed this. This is number 12 in a series but easily reads well all by itself. Although there are references to things that took place in earlier volumes, enough is included to be understood without having read all the others.
Was fascinated by the premise that this little town in the foothills of the Sierras, I think, was at one time all women and they had to figure out ways to import men. All of the women are intelligent, friendly people. They cleverly figured out how to get them some guys who are worth having.
I particularly like the heroine of this novel. I liked it that she feels like a fish out of water in most social situations. I can handle myself now but there have been times... So whenever Felicia thought about her anxiety, I was right there with her.
I have quite the To Be Read list, but I'd like to add the earlier volumes of this series to it.
