5.0 out of 5 starsAnother lovely day with Aunt Dimity is never wasted
Reviewed in the United States on August 23, 2017
Aunt Dimity and the Bunny are charming as always. I fell in love with this series from the first chapter of the first book. The characters are forever getting into reasonable trouble and then solving the problem. Everyone around them thinks they are strange. Bits and pieces of stories don't fit together but in the end they do. All of this is told in a smooth, charming, but not childish or put down sort of way. They are just wonderful, easy books to read when you want a visit with some interesting friends who get into interesting predicaments and solve interesting problems.
I love all Aunt Dimity books. They are fun, clean and yet hold my interest trying to figure out who done it and why. I love the characters, especially the regulars. I can picture them all, right down to the grape stain on the bunny and Aunt Dimity's handwriting. I have come to really appreciate a good mystery without a lot of sex and swearing. I get so tired of sex and swearing cluttering up a good read. I like a little romance and can provide my own imagination. Ms. Atherton draws her characters so well that I can imagine the kind of love scene they may have. I love holding a good book, but I have been enjoying my Kindle since Christmas and now I don't have to find a place to store the books. I have 3 rooms dedicated to books as it is and am out of room.
This is another winner. I just love this series. I have read it years ago when she first wrote this series. But my memory is not what it was. So I got to read them again and loved them again. I highly recommend all her books to everyone who loves cozy mysteries and ghost stories. Diana Romano
More about character development and the town's people and their relationships and secrets. Lori is struggling with twins. A pamphlet has been stolen from the vicarage. There are Roman ruins. Some fake, maybe some are not. There are archeologists in the school house. Peggy Kitchens wants the school house for an autumn festival. What a tangled web! and order is again restored.
5.0 out of 5 starsAunt Dimity series is the coziest of cozy mysteries, plenty of heart and no gore

Aunt Dimity books are the coziest of cozy mysteries. If you like cozy mysteries with plenty of heart and no gore you can't go wrong with Nancy Atherton's Aunt Dimity series. What more can you ask for, two transplanted Americans and their twin sons living in Finch, a quaint village in England, a host of village characters that keep things just lively enough, and let's not forget Dimity herself, the ghost with the most. I recommend a pot of tea (or substitute your favorite beverage) and a roaring fire while you cozy up for a good read.
5.0 out of 5 starsVillage life will never be the same again

With her usual aplomb Laurie digs in to help save the Village fete. With help from her neighbors and encouraging words from beyond she is instrumental bringing about some answers to bring peace to long ago hurtful events. And in the process is a major player in solving a theft from the vicarage.
I wouldn’t call this series mysteries. Maybe suspense. Yes there is usually a problem solved but there is no life or death of anyone living that ever takes place. Author has created a wonderful set of characters and a village to die for.
I love these stories, but the reader is terrible. I bought the first five all at once, and would like to buy the entire series. However, I don't think I can listen to any more unless the narrator improves. It's very disappointing, because I was so excited when I saw they were all available.
