I found the 2nd and 3rd books first and had to buy this one so that I could read them all in order. At least with a trilogy you only have to find three books to read! Very interesting but has encouraged me to take up fencing! Well written with many twists and turns to come to a sudden end. Not a book to challenge the mind but definitely a fun read. Sets you up nicely for the next book. Ed
Not an especially good fantasy book. I miss the tension and the suprises. The connection to the nordic saga is fascinating, thats ok -- maybe interesting for fans. The characters are simple and flat. Even more then in standard fantasy. The book is really interesting if you like stories about fencing. Some nice details are told here.
