I highly recommend this well written and scripturally sound book; dealing with the bad things that happen to us all, and how to explain them. Shelley Hitz accurately uses the Word of God to share the answers to the very difficult question of why evil exists. She gives insight to the purpose of suffering using her own life as an open book for us to see.
As Shelley Hitz said, "I've come to trust God with all the missing puzzle pieces in my life. I've come to trust that He has my best interests in mind and He will use the hard and difficult things in my life for good."
She goes on to share some of her own personal experiences, the story of her father's assault is a notable one. It touched my heart and encouraged me greatly. Please go to the website to find out the end of the story. It is a beautiful tale of triumph.
This quote really impressed me as well: "Somehow we never see God in failure, but only in success and happiness--a strange attitude for people who have the cross at the center of their faith,--Cheryl Forbes."
I would definitely read her other books if they are anything like this one. Well done!
