This book is a bit different than maybe your typical flyfishing book. It is centered around a group of old friends . . . many , but not all are flyfisher folks. They get together each summer for a couple of months to fish the Madison and other streams in Montana. The author and his wife are two of the mainstays of the group. Some are present for most of the time - others come and go. Each seems to have their own talents and personalities.
I don't know that I learned an awful lot about fishing Montana with this book - but, it was certainly an enjoyable read . . . and, that, I think, was the point.
