As I was walking out of my local library, I saw this book on the new book shelf, and for some reason went back and checked it out, and, boy!, am I glad I did. I enjoyed "Wild Side of the River" so much that I started reading more stories by Michael Zimmer and have yet to be disappointed. In "Wild Side," the conflict is between the older farmers & ranchers who settled the Montana territory and the new syndicate that wants to push them out. The main character gets involved in this conflict, and he also has to contend with his father's reputation. Exploring the darker side of the west, the story has action and moves at a quick pace.
