perhaps the harshest criticism I can level is that I am able to put these latest Les Norton's down, instead of reading cover-to-cover in one sitting, over-and-over . . . the humour seems flat, the situations are the same, the characters not cartoonish, and not full-fleshed, some third option, like a flat, faded poster . . . nothing like the rabelaisian farce of Quids or the shocking amusement of Binjiwunyawunya . . . I hope Barrett made a pot of money to retire on to retire on . . . but these is just . . . sad. and so am I.
The author plainly knows nothing about Nimbin and has never visited. This is a trashy and vulgar book. Don't bother wasting your time and money reading this disrespectful and inaccurate nonsense,High Noon in Nimbin.
