I have read over 100 business books. This is by far the best. I am requiring that all my managers read it. It has changed my perceptions on how to grow my business and by applying his principles and strategies I am seeing a meaningful impact on my business. My brother (who is my business partner) hates business books and has always refused to read them. He has read this three times. He also reads the book himself for the audio recording. The audio book is educational but also very entertaining. His styling of communication is great. I have listened to the audio book three times.Buy this book!
5.0 out of 5 starsBest Book ever written on how to run your business

If ever there was a man (leader) that I'd want to work for, it would be Dave Anderson. This man knows how to run a tight ship and how to treat employees. This should be a must read for every manager. Because there sure are a lot of them that don't know how to treat their staff. I'm working for Turkeys when I'd rather be soaring with the Eagles! Very insiteful. I'm glad I'm reading it because it's helping me learn how to treat others in the work place.
5.0 out of 5 starsOne of the best business books I've read in the past 10 yrs

I've read a lot of business success books in the past 10 years, but this is by far the best. Dave isn't just an author, he speaks from experience and shares his own pitfalls and successes. This is more than just a book...its a step by step primer for both business neophytes and experienced entrepeneurs. Dave talks about the importance of hiring the right people..and specific ideas on how to do just that. The book is clear, concise and easy to read. Dave really understands the importance of 'leading' rather than just 'managing.' I just bought 20 copies of this book for our key personnel (it will be mandatory reading) and several copies for some of our clients. I will probably purchase more copies within the next few months.

Dave Anderson's "Up Your Business" is a terrific business book. I first read it over ten years ago and have been quoting it to business leaders ever since. I recently reread it and found just as many 'pearls' the second time around as I did the first. This book deserves nothing less than a five-star rating. #garypittard
5.0 out of 5 starsAn absolute must read for any business owner or manager.

As a business owner, this is absolutely one of my top 3 business books I've ever read. Purchased multiple copies now as I given many issues away to other business owners and managers. One of the key points is it's as important in who you fire as it is in who you hire.
