First of all when I read Vampire Kisses last year I was so disappointed by the ending. I never would have thought that there would be a sequel, let alone that a series would develop. The second installment of this new series was NOT a disappointment. I'm trying not to give away too much but, anyway Raven goes looking for Alexander in a place she calls "Hipsterville". What she finds there are people just like her and a boy called Jagger. The question that's racking her brain is, "Is Jagger a vampire or just a crazed vampire-goth fan just like all the other people here?" There's even a club called the Coffin Club and a really familair store called "Hot Gothics" (Get it?) Anyway Raven eventually finds out the truth of Jagger's identity. (Which I really don't want to give away) Then she returns home to Dullsville and discovers a surprise! (Again I don't want to ruin it for you). Anyway the ending was so good, it leaves you with yet another brain racking question about...guess who? Trevor!! All I can say is that I was not disappointed in Kissing Coffins (which is actually a movie in the book) and I am looking forward to another Vampire Kisses book.
What I like about this book is that it's an easy read. There is humour! Raven is a goth girl who lives in Dullsville, where nothing happens, until she meets Alexander Sterling! He is a dreamy guy, a vampire. And she loves him! Poor Trevor. I totally recommend this to anyone who is looking to read. It's not a thick novel or anything like that because you can be finished reading this in two hours tops.
I've been addicted to this series since book 1 and this series is a book full of interest, excitement, some drama, and love. There are many twists but I don't want to spoil ANYTHING. If u like books about love, vampires, and high school kids (all of that stuff: crushes, jealousy, little violence, etc), and Goths then you should live or even LOVE this book (like me) :-)
Ellen Schreiber's Kissing Coffins is a wonderful book, if you liked the first book, which I highly recommend, then you will love this book! Raven's search for her Vampire boyfriend Alexander leads to an exciting story that is even better then the first! You won't regret buying this book, even if you don't like vampires this book is very entertaining, Schreiber has a wonderful sense of humor and a great voice.
