Slow to start...

I have read just about everything Jude Deveraux has written, so it surprised me that this one had slipped by me. So, when I saw it in the Kindle store, what could I do but try it out. To be honest, it was not a story that pulled you in right away. I wasn't sure I was going to like it through the fourth chapter. But after that,the story started picking up the pace and gathering steam. At 80% through the book, I thought I had it all figured out.....yada ,yada, yada. Boy, was I ever wrong!

Enough for me to say that it's a really good story of you stick with it. Face it, if there's a Montgomery man in the story, it's going to be good!

As usual, Jude does a great job with characters, dialog and plot twists.
I found myself laughing out loud while reading this book.

I was afraid to waste my time reading this book due to the negative reviews, but I just had to find out what everyone disliked about it. In the end, I understand the criticism, but it's not that bad. I was entertained, just not quite as much as by her other books. If you're reading through all of her books, don't skip it. If anything, it's a nice change of pace from her norm.
