This book series reminds me of bubble gum for some reason. Some of the descriptions can go from really creative to super cringe-worthy. However, I do like this book series for what it's worth. It did put the series down back when I ended high school which I guess was appropriate since this is a middle school book. As in the girls are in middle school. Anyway... I got it again to read recently because I wanted to see how it ended. I had last read P.S. I Loathe You back then and this summer I read Charmed & Dangerous the prequel. Yes, there are A LOT of grammar mistakes in this series that I probably just didn't catch when I was younger. For reference, I am a senior in college now. I thought I'd left off on this book so I got back to reading it. I'd missed this series so much I was looking up samples of it on google books and looked up if my library had it. I realized I was up to this book. I had read the last line in the book years ago and was unsure about it. Now I get it. Books from this series that I really don't remember the plot to were It's Not Easy Being Mean and Sealed With A Diss. Also, I did not read the Summer series yet as didn't back then. I had seen The Clique movie. As for the plot itself, I do like how the new characters were not empty shells and seemed like real people with personalities, demands, and needs of their own. This book does have some wit to it. It might seem cheesy in the end, but I like how this finished up. It made for a good read. I read it on the kindle app in about a week. I think I might be reading these quicker on my kindle or might just happen to find the time to. I've also realized that these titles aren't just funny parodies of other things, but actually do relate to the plot. Also, I really like The Clique: The Manga. I might eventually get the whole series for the kindle app, but don't plan to any time yet. I just probably will soon get the next in the series, These Boots Were Made For Stalking, what appears to be foreshadowing another appropriate plot for said title. I need to see the back cover for what it shall be about. It does appear the characters have grow from not only the end of this book, but in the preview of the next.
I ordered this a couple week before my daughter left (my kids spend the summer with me) and it cam in time for her to have it before she had to leave. She says she is enjoying the book, and I am happy with the service that the merchant gave us. The book is in good condition and my daughter is enjoying it.
