I have had this book for many years. Then I lost everything. I wanted to get another copy of it because I enjoyed his writing. I am keeping this book.

I thought that this story was very insightful as to a child's viewpoint on how to deal with having AIDS and confronting people's misconceptions about it. Ryan was one of the first to shed light on the fact that people must not fear someone with AIDS. He opened many people's eyes and laid the groundwork for continuous support of AIDS suffers. I hope that one day when AIDS is cured, people will remember not just about obtaining the cure, but remember those who did not live to get it. Ryan was a fine person of true integrity, his spirit will live on.
