This book has some great parts, including a skillful interrogation from Milo that was a pleasure to read. It also has parts that seem like rough drafts of a chapter that were never finished. Once you get into the flow of the book, it's a pretty good read.
The drama between Dr. and Robin is all sunshine and roses, so I'm starting to like her again. I love Blanche, and J.K.'s love for the breed shines through.
Below is a spoiler!
The issue I had was the first chapter. It's awful. Way too much emphasis on one person that pretty much screamed 'I'm important to the plot.' And when this person makes derogatory comments about a victim, Milo just goes along with it and jokes around a bit. No, Milo would say we try not to jump to conclusions here. Like I, terrible first chapter. But it gets better.
