Wow! What a goldmine of info! I teach kundalini yoga and am the type of teacher who likes to explain what the kriyas and meditations do to specific parts of the body and unseen energy. Thank you for taking the time to write this book! I am giving one to a fellow teacher!
This book is very detailed, but easy to understand. The exercises in it are incredibly valuable & add to the overall quality of life. It's my favorite book on meditation because it is very specific on how you should position yourself, how you should breathe, etc. There are a variety of options & you can skip around in the book or can read it cover to cover--works equally well both ways. This is a part of my permanent library.
I initially borrowed this book from my daughter's library and while I was going through it, I realized that I had to have a copy of my own! I had heavily post it noted hers !!! I then had to go through mine and update the post it pages! The book will hold a prominent place in my library as a no nonsense book that gives excellent examples of HOW to do the various meditations correctly! The only thing I wish I had with it was a DVD of the different Meditation Methods.
Dr. Khalsa practices and includes Kundalini yoga - chants, mudras and breath in in his meditation medicine. A few years ago I began using breath of fire to meditate and began to feel energy vibrating up my spine. These days I spend every morning connected and at bliss with universe. I have all kinds of energy and feel healthier than ever. This book includes specific mudras, chants and breath for specific diseases. So much better than prescription drugs!
It is a powerful book to read, I have this book for 17 years now and never get tired reading,,,, it helped me healing from very very serious Medical conditions I had in the past and now I celebrate live :) and I just bought for some one I care as an present, I strongly recommend this book who wants to start Meditation & with their own HEALING POWERS !
