This volume had been sitting on the Kindle shelf for about a year before I finally got the urge to pick it up. Set in the late Victorian era, the story moves along at a breakneck pace and is told through the adventures of three individuals who meet and form a deductive powerhouse in what may be one of the best steampunk styled novels I’ve read.
If you like snapping dialogue, well written characters equally adept at rough physical action/violent activities and moments of deduction a la A. C. Doyle, then The Glass book of the Dream eaters is a a mind-sucking treasure.
* excellent character development
* enough villainy and bad behaviors to fill two more volumes
* enough plot twists to keep the reader guessing until the very end.
I purchased the next book in the series before I finished the first book.
