This book, at times, can be difficult to read. This is because you will have to give up certain behaviors that you are used to. They may not make you feel pleasant, but they make you feel safe, because you know what the outcome will be. But if you want to change your life, you have to make changes in your thoughts and behaviors.
Each chapter is about making one significant change in your life, which the author recommends you do over a period of 30 days. (There are 12 chapters total, so theoretically you could go through the whole book in a year.) For example, you will decide on your "absolute yeses" and "absolute nos," you will practice eliminating clutter, you will do self esteem exercises, etc. I only bought the book three weeks ago, but have been making some of the changes on my own timetable. For example, a list of absolute yeses and nos has been very helpful in stress management!
I feel like some of her suggestions are unrealistic for some people. However, I do recommend this book to anyone who has a stressful job (or stressful life in general), because I think there is something in it for everyone.
