As a retired RN, I found this story of the history of nursing, plus a murder mystery, very enjoyable. The mystery was well plotted and the characters were interesting.
Let me say this, however, that there is blood oozing, vomit spewing and urine splattering...Not to mention contusions, abrasions and the reduction of an open fracture all clearly described...oh, yes, it’s a story that a nurse can appreciate.
And did I mention that the mystery is pretty good, too? I didn’t get “who done it” until the murderer was revealed.
There is a bit of historical truth mixed in the fantasy and the author gives a nice summary of the main characters after the end of the story.
If you like what I have described, then I can recommend this book to you. I enjoyed it very much.👍🏼
